SHIELD task orders may incorporate classified and unclassified environments, cross-domain solutions, secure network engineering, model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, and advanced analytics to enhance situational awareness and decision advantage. The contract structure enables use of multiple contract types and allows integration of ancillary products when integral to delivering secure and operationally resilient solutions.
Under SHIELD, customers can acquire services such as secure system architecture design, software development and modernization, cyber defense operations, RMF implementation, infrastructure engineering, systems integration, data analytics and visualization, mission application sustainment, and technical support for evolving defense capabilities. The vehicle is structured to support rapid technology insertion while maintaining rigorous security and engineering discipline, ensuring solutions remain aligned to evolving threat landscapes and mission demands.
